Celebrate Golden Pig year on Feb 17 at Centre Samuel de Champlain

Dear Member,

2007 is the Golden Pig year which only happens once in every 60 years according to Chinese Lunar Calendar. Saint John Chinese Community will celebrate the Golden Pig Year on the New Year’s Eve, which is next Saturday February 17th.

The three Saint John Chinese groups – The Chinese Cultural Association of Saint John (CCASJ), Chinese Student & Scholar Association (CSSA) and UNBSJ Easy Life Student Club – appreciated last year’s sponsors, guests, performers and volunteers for making a wonderful celebration. About 450 tickets were sold out in only three days last year. We are expecting to have the same or better turn out this year.

This year’s celebration will bring to the Saint John community again traditional Chinese performances and well-prepared Chinese refreshments after the show.

This event will be hosted in Chinese and English. Every one is welcomed to join this event at Centre Samuel de Champlain ( 67 Ragged Point road, Saint John North) at 6pm on February 17 and experience a rich Chinese culture celebration.

Tickets will be sold starting on next Monday, Feb 12. CCASJ members could call President Cindy Li at 635-8764 to purchase tickets. The Price is $10 for CCASJ members.

Public tickets will be sold at East Coast Chinese newspaper offices (Harbor building, Suite 16 , 133 Prince William Street , Saint John, Tel: 693-5487 ). for $15.
