Post – Chinese New Year Celebration!
Saint John, NB: Join us as Brunswick Square celebrates post-Chinese New Year!
This event is organized by members of the Chinese community and Brunswick Square shopping centre who wish to share this event with our tenants, customers and visitors. The celebration will include a New Year’s lion dance and a number of Chinese traditional dances, Chinese music, traditional Chinese sweets and a variety of other cultural displays and craft activities. Media and the public are welcome to participate in what promises to be a truly wonderful event and testament to the diversity of both our city and community.
Who: Brunswick Square Shopping Centre, East Coast Chinese Newspaper, Chinese Cultural Association of Saint John, Chinese Student Scholar Association of UNBSJ, Easy Life Student Club of UNBSJ.
What: Post-Chinese New Year Celebration including:
• New Year’s lion dance,
• Fan dance demonstration,
• Traditional Chinese music demonstration, and
• A selection of traditional Chinese New Year sweets
Where: Brunswick Square Shopping centre, level 1
When: Saturday, March 1, 2008 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Ceremony will be held in centre court
